Garima | Diversey School of Hygiene, India
A housekeeping and infection prevention training outreach program that educates the underprivileged communities in India. The shared value initiative helps unemployable men and women with “Hygiene Technician” certification that supports them as they join the janitorial workforce.
The initiative was launched in India in 2016 and has trained over 25,000 beneficiaries ever since.
Garima is based on three fundamental principles.
Diversey brings in the scientific know-how of cleaning into a 4 day classroom and practice based training. The program is executed through an on-ground non-profit partner - Doctors For You (DFY). The DFY team mobilizes the candidates, imparts training and then enables placements for the beneficiaries. These placements are often found with Diversey’s Facility Management Key customers.
